Garden. In Hiding has lost some of its lustre for me.

Both great. But In Hiding really scratches an itch for me.

This is a tough one because the strengths of each are both really strong but pretty different. An amazing riff vs. one of the best bridges in the catalog (especially in the cleaned up redux version). This one may have to be a coin flip.

"In Hiding" is one of the few Yield songs that has fallen for me over the years, though I do still like it.
But, "Garden" is one of maybe three Ten songs that I've never gotten tired of. The arpeggios in the verse are a crucial part of the Gossard's Finest collection.
Both songs are fantastic displays of Stone's musical contributions to the band, come to think of it.

Ditto. I gave Garden the edge on this one, but only because nowadays In Hiding is harder for EV to sing.
Hell, it's been hard to sing since it came out too.

All these contributions, you could say you have a garden of Stone.

I'll be happy with either winning. These are two fantastic songs. I never get tired of either of them. I think In Hiding gets the slight edge for me just because it feels more personal and relatable. Feels like a song/sentiment that I experience a lot and really hits hard for me.
Garden is definitely the better/more compelling composition, though. Without a doubt. But, for me, songs are about more than structure and composition. I imagine that's true for a lot of people. It's all subjective art and sometimes one thing just really hits in a specific way, you know?

In Hiding is a really great song, but I would put Garden slightly above it. Love the 'atmospheric' feels that Garden has. Saw it open in OKC in '22 and was blown away.
