Off He Goes vs. Tremor Christ

Wow this one is really tough for me....

Off He Goes really resonates me with on a personal level. I know I've told this story before but I'm high school a good friend of mine heard OHG and said to me, "it's like Ed wrote a song about you."

I've had to reckon with that and all that it means (good and bad) ever since. It's such a beautiful gut punch of a song. I think I have to go with that one...

But also I love country/Americana music. Pearl Jam doesn't veer into that lane often. But they do it well. Off He Goes is one of the best examples. I bet Jason Isbell would do a fucking monster cover of it. There was a brief window where I feel like Ed could have made an amazing solo Americana album in this style, too. But alas...

It's just such a great song. I really love it.

Tremor Christ is also amazing. I'll be totally happy if it wins.
