to answer jorges point though, youll find the right ones. I've a good few pals from RM on my socials. its actually weirdly comforting. Our Ruddo and Durds and Anders are top class lads who suffer me with more grace than i deserve.
the Pj/touring community more broadly can be great but tricky too. Very very selective and careful about all that crowd. But the great ones truly are the best people. Theyd do anything for you.

I follow a few that I know exist. It's nice to see their wacky adventures in the world. My accounts are very boring unless you like drawings of mice, so don't follow.

It's wild when someone who doesn't share much about their personal lives on RM follows you and you see they share a LOT on social media. It's like you are privy to The Secret Knowledge, in both directions

The slippery slope with this is that if someone on RM follows you and doesn't respect your life outside of RM and starts to share stuff from social media on here.

Yeah not even that. Although that has happened here as well due to unfortunate immature RMers. I've just had some RMers that followed me make a reference to something in a post I made on social media here on RM. Not enough context that others might pick up on it, but enough to say to me "hey, remember, I know this about you, and I could share it on here at any time".

Yeah. I'm pretty open on RM about my life, but there are a few things I like to keep separate. I've weeded out the bad seeds, though.
