As far as defining them to the general public, it's gotta be Even Flow. But is that also representative of their of their overall sound? Also yes. Sure. I don't know.

I think "Jeremy" is a huge song and certainly a contender but
- It's not their biggest charting song (that's "Last Kiss", no. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100)
- It's not their most streamed song (that's "Evenflow", nearly twice as many streams as "Jeremy")
- It's not their most played live song (that is also "Evenflow")
- I would argue it's not really representative, it's a little too odd

Great song and definitely huge for them but I dunno about their signature song

I was surprised to learn that "Evenflow" is pretty big among gen Z and younger millennials thanks to Rock Band

I think "Corduroy" would be a perfect pick if it was more popular. I don't think the general public really knows "Corduroy" like they do "Alive," "Evenflow", or "Jeremy"

Yeah, I think the question of "signature song" requires an element of popularity, though it's not the only factor. The question is really "what defines this band to the general public?"

What song would most people think of when they think "Pearl Jam"?

As far as "representative of their overall sound", Corduroy is a good answer.

I think Corduroy (live) is the band's quintessential song, but Alive is probably their signature song.

The challenge is that the public understands Pearl Jam through Ten, but Corduroy is more emblematic of their overall sound.

Even Flow is what the world at large most associates Pearl Jam with
