RMers that have really chilled out and we’re happy for them
List some RMers who seemed to have found some semblance of peace in their lives, and applaud them:
_tree has really chilled out after finding his groove as a family man. He goes to work, comes home, catches fish to feed his brood. Seems in a good place.
Soma has really chilled out after outgrowing a youthful angst that perhaps lingered for too long. I get the sense he’s put the work in to find more balance in his life, signified by his adaption of a new username.
epilogue has really chilled out, even though it remains a constant battle. You can often tell there’s some rage boiling away just below the surface, but he’s learned to take deep breaths and walk away.
Bammer’s really chilled out now that the pandemic is well and truly in the rearview. That really threw one of RM’s all time snowflakes for a loop. A lot of it seemed to revolve around his workplace at the time, but we haven’t heard much about that recently, which I think is a good thing. The recent admission that he’ll be asking for a raise could threaten the the serenity he’s found in his toils, however.

I honestly feel like Spike might be the poster to have gone most in the opposite direction lol
Seems to become more edgy with time
And I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing in this case

I nominate strat. He was always a chill dude, but I like to think that moving away from an expensive area and back closer to his homeland was good for him and helped him find peace. Way to go, strat

Chilling out is pretty overrated especially if you never deal with your underlying issues. That's what I see in most people. Lots of pretending they are what they wish they were. But sure we all chill out a bit with time.

Chill is just another word for quiet desperation

I'm not denying how fucked up I am. I feel like I could implode right now. I literally need to go run for a couple hours this evening so I don't end up posting something I regret later this evening. I can't imagine being chill.

You're both right.spike wrote:So’s being an edgelord though.Dev wrote:Chill is just another word for quiet desperation
Edgelord = hurt peepees, hurt peepees.
Chill = choosing to ignore our impending doom.
I'm really not that chill. These days I just mostly choose to disregard idiots until they perish. But I do have the occasional slip-up.
