A lot of English language singers default to a neutral kind of non-accent when they sing (notice how Shirley Manson's strong Scottish accent completely disappears when she sings), so I'm always delighted when I hear someone who clearly has a strong accent that shines through.

Let's name some

Most country singers really lean into their accents, with Jennifer Nettles of the band Sugarland possibly being the lean-iest:

Respect.

Edit: Sneaky fucker edited. Original post was just "Rammstein".

I don't think singing in your native tongue counts as an accent.

If we knew enough to distinguish between the accents of various parts of Germany, maybe

Like in Spanish there are singers who very clearly sound Argentinian (Vicentico), Colombian (Carlos Vives), Puerto Rican (Bad Bunny), Spanish (Alejandro Sanz), etc.

and then there are also singers who sound more generically "neutral" (Diego Torres, Ricardo Arjona, Ricky Martin)
