watched the first episode last night. didn’t get many laughs from me, but I’m definitely in it for the premise.

I keep seeing this advertised as an Office spin-off. What makes it so? Has Creed found yet another profession?

at the beginning of the first episode it is explained that after 20 years the documentary crew that made The Office is revisiting the office building in which Dunder Mifflin was located. They discover that they had been bought out by a paper company in Toledo, Ohio. They go there and find the company has like, a toilet paper division, something else or other, and then the focus of this show, a newspaper called The Truth Teller. And Oscar happens to be working there, the only holdover from The Office. And there is a whole cast of characters, all with their own quirks. The show is quite funny IMO when you get to know the characters. It's well written and a good show to watch with your eyes and interpret with your brain for entertainment.

We’re enjoying this one. The characters grow on you as they’re fleshed out and become more ridiculous and insecure.
