When I was a kid, we had a massive satellite dish in my backyard. My dad had a guy so we’d get everything unscrambled for months at a time. I taped everything - 3 movies to a tape - because I was always worried we’d have nothing in the blink of an eye. I wound up watching many movies dozens of times. None of them were best picture material, but they were my comfort food.

These are the first ten non-obvious (StarsWars, Indy, Ghostbusters, Back to the Future, Karate Kid, Rocky IV) movies that’ come to mind for me:

When I was 10 years old I used to watch two VHS tapes over and over again, to the point where I memorized the dialogue and could recite them word for word. One was Disney's Aladdin, and the other was The Silence of the Lambs

Number one with a bullet is definitely The Matrix. #2 is probably Snowpiercer. Other contenders include Children of Men and Memento.

Reading this real fast, it looked like your answer was The Matrix: Reloaded and I had a lot of follow-up questions ready to go.

Without a doubt it’s gotta be one of the movies I’ve watched over and over with my kids. For a few years it was probably Frozen, I don’t know if Toy Story has ever eclipsed it. Lady and the Tramp is also near the top. Two other movies in the running are Sing and Trolls.
