Tim Dillon was tolerable for about a fortnight ~3 years ago. Total douche shill.

Time to reassess this one, D'von.

I just assume all of the country/Americana-and-adjacent musicians I enjoy are conservative dummies. I try not to think about it. Music go brrr.

Taylor Sheridan, maybe? I feel like the establishment considers him conservative, but his themes feel more libertarian.

He seems kinda dumb, but also pretty legit and based. I used to follow his gun channel. Not sure if they still do that one.

Dave Smith is a good libertarian one.

Interesting. I don't see it that way.

One cares about how people behave and wants to legislate social issues, the other wants government as far away as possible from social issues.

One wants to preserve tradition in society, the other has a deep distrust of institutions.

Sheridan's shows seem to balance that tension well.

His views are informed by his toxic masculinity above any political philosophy.

I honestly have no problem with conservatives. I like Rick Wilson for going after maga in his own party. I like Adam Kinzinger (id probably vote him president) and romney to a degree.

Maga is where the problem begins for me

Armond White was hugely important to me in my 20s. I find him harder to defend these days, but his earlier criticism will remain a lodestar for me.
