I think Kratos looks good. Atreus looks young. I'm optimistic.

He's got a gut (which is why he should be playing Thor, ya know, like he did in the game) and the kid looks way too young relative to the character's game appearance.

The dad-bod may be part of the early plot. He's in dad mode, not God mode when this starts - just like the PS4 game.
