Once is really good, and I love it live. Like Why Go, it's just a bit much, and yet I give Why Go a pass I don't give Once.

Hold On is a lot of fun, and because I never overplayed it, I always enjoy when it comes on.

Once is better. I don't even think it's close. But I would be more likely to play through once :)

Once always felt like a song that stutters forever, it's like a car revving up that never accelerates, and sometimes that feeling appeals and sometimes it's dull. Over time I've come to like the song more but it's never been one of my favorites.

Hold On. Much like Wash, Footsteps, Alone, whatever they are doing here works for me. Simple lyrics, heartfelt delivery and a regretful groove. Builds to another stunning climax which feels effortless.

Hold On.

Really tough.

Once because it always sounds fresh to me no matter how many times I’ve heard it.

Once, still one of their best songs.

I initially voted for Hold On but switched to Once. I had a hard time deciding but I think Once is preferred. It encapsulates a key mood of Ten, sets the table for the album and holds nothing back. It’s not close to my favorite on Ten, but on an album as good as that, is that really a blemish?

It does sound a little like Bon Jovi, so this checks out.

I can still remember when I was just a kid, and friends were friends forever, and what you said is what you did
