Wash vs. Why Go

Wash is a good show opener (and it opened the show that broke my 10 year show gap). It's a good song. But Why Go is incredible, and maybe the Ten song I most underrate, only because there is a part of me that feels like I can't give this 5 stars for some reason. Probably because of the teenage angst on steroids in the lyrics. But man Eddie sells it, and Jeff is incredible.

This one’s actually to toughest of the bunch for me. I’ll go Why Go.

Wash

Wash. I love these types of songs by the band, wistful, powerful, melancholic with interesting musical textures. The opposite end of this, for me, is Just Breathe or Future Days or The End, where any respect for the openness of the emotional lyrics and vocal delivery is undone by the music. Wash is haunting and the perfect shadow to Ten.

Why Go is just fantastic. I'm a sucker for songs with drum intros and this is one of their best and who doesn't enjoy the hammer fury of Jeff's bass that kicks in right after? Another epic angry anthem with the perfect groove.

I'd like to vote Why Go, just a tad ahead of Wash but they just cancel one another out.

Well said.

This is an easy vote for Wash.

Why Go feels like a lot of energy and motion going nowhere very interesting, it's maybe the weakest song on Ten.

Wash is an amazing song.

Why Go isn't.

Why Go is the Ten song that has grown on me the most over the years, but Wash still takes it.

Why Go for sure. Its the drums and the bass.
