I like when albums are up against each other because I'm so much more confident of my intra-album rankings than my inter-album rankings

interesting... My argument here for small town is the same as stip's for animal in the other poll. Rats is a great song but Small town is a level above.

Rats leading by one after nine votes. It feels like that would be a big upset. I expect Small Town to pull away on Tuesday.

Rats, the only sensible choice here:
Small Town is OK, but there's not much about it that gives me what I most enjoy about the band, whereas Rats is a smorgasbord.
Dave and Jeff are driving and funky! Stone and Mike play interesting, interlocking guitar parts! It's simple, satisfying but also kind of weird!
It's just a great Pearl Jam song.

I had forgotten that Stone takes the lead on Rats. That Orpheum show is an all timer.

What about if you're listening behind, say, a counter whilst sitting in, I dunno, a small town perhaps?

The whole reason I started listening to Pearl Jam is because a girl in college asked me to learn Elderly Woman on guitar. So I went to Walmart and the only cd they had in stock with that song on it was Live on Two Legs. I bought it and whelp here we are.

Small Town is another perfect song. (That I think of it as Small Town shows how many bootlegs I've listened to over the years). Eddie's lyrics capture longing and nostalgia and make the personal feel universal, something he's done throughout their career. A great song.
Rats is one of my favorites. I love the funk, love Dave's stellar performance, it's got a neat analogy with great, biting guitar interplay. And it's fun!
