Two years out and I still listen to these two songs (plus Dark Matter and Setting Sun) constantly
Voting for Stevie, but these are all 5 star songs for me

I have nothing but love for Stevie.
But SOF hits my ear way better. Also, the lyrics hit way harder.

the SoF lyrics are quite hard. the chorus is super catchy while still being pretty substantive it is a great vocal melody by Ed.. the stevie lyrics are amont my favorite in the entire catalog

that’s just such an amazing sentiment. what a perfect distillation of teenage angst from someone who lived it, moved past it, and wants to honor the authenticity of the experience from a place of wisdom

At least one band member is wearing spandex on the first album’s cover pic so I’m fine with the leather pants thing but I will not allow myself to be confused by terms like “cynical simulacra.”
