Who's better band and/or live band Pearl Jam or Zeppelin?

Serious question. I need peace of mind about this. Both seem to better than the other in different aspects. Someone please end the war raging inside my head over this. Sometimes I wish PJ to be more epic both in studio and live, wishing they would also kidnap JPJ at least for touring purposes. Yet other times I pat myself on the back and say, "it's ok, romeo, despite Page's volume of long live solos, Mike sounds much better.

I can't really think of many bands that could match a young Zeppelin live. Live At Leeds era Who maybe.

This is worse than the "Who has ruined their legacy more, U2 or Pearl Jam?" thread idea.

Though to be fair, some pretty solid discourse saved that trainwreck. I don't know that I see that happening here.


Over/Under on there being a person on this board who has seen both bands live...go!

Led Zeppelin are better than PJ at two particular things:

1) writing derivative songs that people don't care are derivative because they're cool.
2) having John Bonham.
