This song builds up to something pretty neat and then just goes absolutely nowhere with it. The second verse isn't long enough to build back to it again. This along with Amongst the Waves really bring the album down IMO.

I agree with this honestly. I do like Amongst the Waves but they are a bit of a stall on the album with so much momentum. I don't think its a bad song though. And some parts of it are great. I can agree the structure could lead to something better and live Im not a big fan of either song. one thing that really annoys me about this song is the way eddie started to sing the word "left" in the "nothing left" part of the chorus. he added a second syllable (leh-eft), and it sounds stupid.

that mix on the fan backspacer edit was a huge improvement. Bumps this up from a 3 to 4 star song.

I really like the music and vocal melody but the lyrics themselves are not that good.

Worst song on Backspacer. For some reason the "gems and rhinestones" line really annoys me.
