The first time I heard Royals, it instantly made me think of the sirens in O Brother, so despite the song now being pverplayed, I still think it's hot.

lana del rey called, she wants her shtick back.

haim is much more appealing to me, and they were very fun live.

Royals is pretty good. her voice and her minimal approach reminds me of Regina Spektor.

i'm not going to debate this to no end since Regina is one of my favorite artist of the last 10+ years (and i don't know/care about Lana Del Rey) but on that Royals song, i clearly hear a good singing voice. the minimalism i was talking about lies in the musical arrangements, not in the vocals.
