Sweet Water, from what I've had, makes some good beers. I wish they have them in DC.

IPAs with freshwater fish on their labels are never bad.
Speaking of IPAs, I rang in the new year with a six-pack of Harpoon Rye. It had that crisp, fresh hoppy flavor that I've come to love, along with a little bit of sweetness. I'll buy it again soon.

Picked up a few of those Trader Joe's Vintage Ales. Anyone try these? I'm planning on aging a few for next year too.

I am becoming a huge fan of Sixpoint. The Righteous Ale, Resin and Brownstone are all great beers, and the Sweet Action is very easy to drink even if I don't like the style all that much.

B, why did you use such an obnoxiously large picture for the OP?

Reid was telling me about Sixpoint recently, I looked for some here but no dice. I do love Sweetwater: 420 is a fantastic pale ale.

Sixpoint is hit and miss for myself, but for their styles they tend to set themselves apart from the norm. I most recently had Bengali Tiger, which was definitely drinkable but perhaps not what you'd find or search for in an American IPA.

They seem to have a pretty unique take on things, which I like. None of their beers taste like anything made by another brewery IMO.

Agreed, when I first had Resin I thought it was the perfect name but again not my favorite hop profile for the style.

I had one the other day. Was decent but think it should age well and will probably be better after doing so.

Had some Sierra Torpedo in the can. Hadn't seen it that way, and I loved the Pale Ale in the can, so I gave this a shot. It was good, but not great. I like the Pale Ale better, it makes for a great tailgating beer if you're looking to replace your regular mass quantity type beers.

I also do not dig the Torpedo as much, though PA is my serious go to beer; had a Torpedo on tap Monday though... after a 120 Minute.

Weird for agreeing or weird in general, just trying to keep it clear.
