I've been sitting on some stuff I've been wanting to share for a long time as well as some stuff I've been working on recently. Some of it is Pearl Jam and some of it is other stuff. I would finally like to share it all, so I will be uploading it to ZOMB over the next 12 days. I call it the 12 Days of Christmas - hopefully you'll like it!

As for the methodology behind this set, here's the comment I left on the torrent:

As requested by Deadmarsh, here is the full set of my "Touring Band 2006" compilation. This compiles the best (or my favorite) tracks from the 2006 tour in one set. There is one disc for each leg of the tour (4 overall) and one disc of outtakes and standards - or in other words, a handful of songs I really wanted to include but could not fit onto the other discs (like "Of the Girl", "Dead Man" and "Once") along with the standards that really make up a Pearl Jam show (such as "Jeremy", "Black" and "Do the Evolution"). There is a bit of overlap between the 5 discs as I wanted to make each one a standalone experience that really represents the 2006 tour; this is why there are so many versions of "World Wide Suicide", "Severed Hand" and "Go". This set is best digested one disc at a time.

Hopefully some of you will really enjoy this. I spent hundreds of hours listening, compiling and mixing this set. If somebody wants to make artwork go ahead. That's not my area of expertise. Have fun!

Let it also be said that I'm now pretty sure the 2006 tour is my favorite PJ tour ever.

I went to 12 shows in 2006 and loved every single one of them.

I was at Portland and Gorge I. Portland was fantastic, in a small venue (2800 capacity) and I had seats right above the stage. Gorge I is the best show I've ever seen, period.

Yeah, the two Adelaide shows I saw in 2006 remain two of the best shows I've seen by anyone.

Did you end up putting in the Grand Rapids section because the flow of the songs made up for the technical mistakes?

Yes. I allowed a few songs with flubs because they fit the flow of the set, but also because a 5 disc set full of perfect performances doesn't feel like a PJ show.

I'm stoked for all 12 of these days of Christmas.

Initial thoughts on the 06 mix:

Wow, you were right about the SFIII versions of Release and Sad. Wow.

There was no neutered Garden worth including, eh? Hehe.

I might be the only one but I really liked the 2006 version of Garden.

I like the soundgarden too, Hartford and Boston have fantastic versions.

Immortality from East Rutherford is aces. When Mike gets creative during the solo, it elevates the song to another level altogether.
