Just took my kids to Disneyland, but I'm wondering, is Disneyworld different enough to justify a trip? Anyone been to both fairly recently?

i think seeing it when you're young makes a difference. it's sort of like if you saw he-man or the dukes of hazzard for the first time when you were 15, you probably wouldn't care much for either. attach nostalgia, and they're pretty great.

Apparently the parking lot at Disneyworld in Orlando is big enough to hold all of Disneyland. So I think there is more to do in Florida? It's been years since I've been to that one though.

We've been to both in the past 10 years. Love Disneyland. We didn't really care for Disney World. Disney World is a lot bigger, but really they just packed in more shops. Also, it's humid in Florida. Fuck that shit.

Disneyworld blows Disney Land out of the water. There's no comparison.

(Says the guy who works in Orlando)

Hi Lament.

Agreed with Lament. Been to Disneyworld a few times and Disneyland once. Actually, scarily enough went to both in 2012.

Disney World is more of a destination - several more parks, much better resorts, etc. There's much more to do in the Disney area besides just going to the parks.

Disneyland is very small, and one day there is probably enough in my opinion.

Need lots of patience with kids at both though. The stroller brigades and ridiculous amounts of people can be really trying.

The attention to detail at Disneyland is great. From the facades on the rides to the downtown area, it's pretty spectacular. Disney World seems kinda shoddy by comparison.

The MAJOR characters just walk around at Disneyland, while at Disney World it's just a meet-and-greet cattle call at their specific houses.

Also, did I mention it's humid in Florida?

I went to Disneyworld in July (yes, July) a few years back. For the kids it may have been the happiest place on Earth, but for the adults it was a sweaty, nauseating, humid and miserable experience
