I liked it ok. Feels like its missing something without Homme, though.

It's good, very good. But it's no Kyuss.

well mm yeah..thats why they changed the bands name.
im surprised on how strong this is. Feels like those guys are heading into more of a jazzy-spacey territory.

I was sort of agreeing with Burt. And they changed their name due to a lawsuit from Homme/Reeder. If Vista Chino had their way they would still be called Kyuss Lives!.
I get the feeling that their next release could be amazing. Bruno has some great playing on Peace but still I feel he's got Homme in his head when coming at those tracks. He needs to be himself.
It's a treat this record exists though. Who would have thought that 3/4 of Kyuss would be back together.

It's only 2 out of 4 now though, right?
Oliveri's out and some other guy's on bass now.
I really hope I manage to catch these guys at the Big Day Out, I wish they were playing slightly earlier in the night.

Right you are. Man Kyuss Lives! was a confusing gig. So many 35-40 year old men grinning like idiots.

The fact that you would post a picture of an old lesbian really just proves my point, Burt.

Yeah, maybe their name would still be Kyuss lives i dont know..i think when they decided to make new music they change the name, although the lawsuit was around that time...Im happy they changed it because they can move from Kyuss and still be a part of that legacy.
Favorite Kyuss album?

Those first two are pretty much flawless. Anyone saw them live back in the day?

I had tickets to see them support Metallica just after Blues...Red Sun. I was bed-ridden and had to sell my ticket. I was gutted. Missed FNM on the Angel Dust tour too.

The riffs on this album are pretty awesome. Of course they sound like a lost Kyuss album, but there is also a freedom, a fresh vibe along them.

I haven't revisited it since it came out but I really enjoyed Peace. It takes a while to get under your skin, but once it does it's really solid. Saw them live last fall and it was good. I actually saw Kyuss open for White Zombie back in 95 but I was waaaay too young to appreciate them the way I do now, so it was cool to hear some of the old Kyuss tunes.
