A fun enough, not done to death idea for a list. I'm racking my brain to come up with a personal one. I'll post it later if I think of enough good stuff. What are some of your favorites?

I'm not sure I'd say King of Carrot Flowers is about nostalgia. Actually... I am sure.

Glory Days by Springsteen could make this list.

Also, not sure about the inclusion of 12.

Glory Days was the one I kept expecting to pop up as I got closer and closer to #1, and was really surprised not to see.

I figured Disco 2000 would be on it too. But I'll save that one for mine.

If so, I'm sure. It doesn't belong. A song in the present tense probably shouldn't be considered a nostalgic song. I mean, to paraphrase the master Carlin, how can you be nostalgic about a concept like right now?

I think My Slumbering Heart & 1979 would be the only ones that would make my personal list (though I also kinda think both bands might have better nostalgic songs that are just escaping my memory at the moment). Possibly "Heroes" or Boys of Summer as well.

My Doorbell strikes me as more nostalgic than We Are Gonna Be Friends.

Yep. Absolutely.

I just realized In My Life isn't on this list, and now I'm not just shocked at its omission, but shocked that it wasn't #1.

Especially since the author(s) went as far as Yesterday. You think they'd be able to see it through to a more logical conclusion. But maybe I'm overthinking it.

Are those in their proper tenses? This is very important.

Some of them are about presently being nostalgic as opposed to being retellings of things they're nostalgic for.
