I am so in love with her right now and you should be too...

She is ferocious and twisted and wonderful and fucking brilliant.

How much is this because she's a hot chick, and how much is it because the music is good? I need a ratio. I mean, it's beautifully produced and there are some fine recording techniques and arrangements compensating for otherwise structurally kind of cliched songs... to me.

100% because the music is good.

I can't stop listening.

In Monster, when she sings "Oh what it takes out of me to lay by your side..." Holy shit, that hits like a ton of bricks.

These songs are golden.

It's alright doug. I appreciate you trying. I'm on my third run through the EP in a row. I love her more than enough to make up for everyone else.

The only other time I've had this kind of reaction to a new artist in the last seven or eight years was when I heard CHVRCHES for the first time in fall of 2012.

Take your time harmless. I have faith in you...

Is she really as fucked up as she says she is? It appears a little phoney. Katie Jane Garside would eat her for breakfast.

She's a former Jehovah's Witness, so yeah, I'd guess she's pretty fucked up.

She doesn't sing about being a former Jehovah's Witness, although I read that on the Wikipedia page (she sings about violence and murder and self-hatred). I'm not saying that it didn't fuck her up that badly, but neither does being a JW necessarily fuck people up that badly. It's a pretty fucking weird religion but not as threateningly bat shit as Scientology. Do we know her story other than "She used to be religious"? It still sounds like a shtick.

I don't know man. The ex-JWs I know/have known are probably the most messed up people I've ever known, more-so than the ex-Scientologists I've encountered.
