I edited to add this: did you guys hear about the lost prophets singer who admitted to attempted baby rape? I don't know any of their songs, but it got me thinking, if that was Ed, I don't think I could ever listen to pearl jam again. I am also wondering why the lost prophets guy hasn't been brutally murdered yet.

Josh Homme hasn't done me wrong yet.

me too, but i don't think that's the same thing. And there are definitely artists I still love that have disappointed me--the ones I still love are the ones that bounce back.

I would say Josh Homme too, but the guy hasnt done anything bad....im thinking Chris Cornell.....PJ too of course.

The answer is none. All songwriters are human, for the most part.

But the shortlist who haven't strayed too far from excellence: Homme, Radiohead, Tom Waits, Nick Cave, Arcade Fire, Drive-By Truckers, Jack White, LCD Soundsystem (please come back), Mark Lanegan, The National, Pixies (active again!).

Oh yeah, Arcade Fire too.

I mostly try to separate the art from the artist. Every artist's art has let me down to one degree or another. I have a lot of time to try and discover what Radiohead, Jimmy Page, Robert Plant, U2 are trying to achieve. I think they all have some failures in their catolgue though.

As for the artist, I don't know them so I generally don't care. Really just stay away from little kids and rape and I'll probably won't hold it against them as far as buying their art.

The only ones I buy everything from is: Neil Young, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Beck and REM
