Down is a good song with a couple of lyrical farts on it. Fun riff, one of the most appropriate musical vehicles this side of Can't Keep or I Am Mine for how Ed was singing at the time. I super wish there was more to do with that outtro section but, typical Pearl Jam, the most interesting choices get dumped where they have the smallest consequences.

I love "Down." It's one of the few Pearl Jam songs that evokes a strong emotional reaction from me, and probably the only one where that reaction is uplifting--I just feel completely elated whenever I listen to it.
