Tough one, but I think I like Happy when Im Crying more.

HWIC is much better.

"Mind Your Manners" remains my least favorite song in this band's catalog.

No, man. No, it isn't.

I put MYM in the middle echelon of Lightning Bolt tracks. There are a few things about it I really like, like how much the chorus sounds like something Bob Mould would sing in later Hüsker Dü albums, but on the whole I think it's too tame and safe (I wrote about it on this post, pardon the blog-plug). "Happy When I'm Crying", however, never really grabbed me at all. I appreciate the weirdness of it, but the song itself never struck me as particularly clever, funny or memorable. It just kind of flops around languidly for a couple of minutes. I give MYM the edge on this one.

I'll give this to Happy When I'm Crying but I still think MYM is pretty good.

They put out a song or two like this on each album... a song to be played fast... like a race. It's probably the most organic aspect of who the band still is... and always has been... No way MYM should lose this round.

My 13 year old son loves MyM and I've never been a fan of HWIC, so this one is pretty straightforward for me.
