as much as i realize that spoon has a very recognizable sound to all there songs, i like this band quite a bit. looking forward to new music from them

I'm stoked about this - they might be the most underrated band of the last 10-15 years! A Series of Sneaks>Girls Can Tell>Kill the Moonlight>Gimme Fiction>Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga is an incredible run.

Looking forward to this. I was a little hard on Transference when it came out and it's still my least favorite album by them, but it's certainly not an embarrassment.

For a while there, they had an impossibly great creative spark. They've still got the craft and they've still got the swagger, but something has been missing that was crucially important to tipping that scale.

So in regards to new material, I'm cautiously hopeful. I'm after rebellion, I'll settle for lies.

whereas for me it was a bit of a "return to form" of their first 3 records, which i generally prefer.

my least favorite after Telephono would probably be Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga (still a killer record mind you, but was a let down at the time).
