Jeremy, but these are both great songs. Tough call. I won't much care who wins.

I still remember watching this performance in the lead up to the release of Binaural, and I think I still have the VHS somewhere. It's by no means a perfect performance, but it was beautiful and raw.

Fuck, was this really 14 years ago?

I probably like that one more than the version on the album.

This is the hardest matchup this round for me, but Grievance.

any doubt on jeremy must be erased by the magnitude of it live

it is just a massif, massif live track

grievance was a fun little twink for a while but suffers from micropenis syndrome

How is Jeremy losing?

Madness.

Grievance easily topples Jeremy. The guitars are better, the drums are better, the singing is better, everything about it is better than Jeremy.

As great as Jeremy is....

Grievance is what I want my Pearl Jam rock to be. Man alive that song is fucking perfect. What an outro. What a weird guitar riff. what a great everything.

That letterman version put me on my bum. I remember expecting nothing as it seems or something then they come out with that. Boom. See ya!

There's a real Fear of Music quality about the guitar work that they didn't explore enough (or at all) later on.

Looking at the musician Vedder is now, I am super impressed that he came up with that and was able to put a melody to it.

And not at all surprised that he runs kicking and screaming away from anything remotely like it, now.

I agree. I was blown away when they played this. Best TV performance of any song by them. Followed closely by Hail Hail.

Awesome

Why did Ed rush to pick up Mikes guitar after he slammed it down I wonder.
