I suspect this will be closer than it should be, but I've been wrong so many times so far.

Obviously release

I wish Release or Sleight of Hand would win this whole thing.

While I enjoy Release to a point, I think Of the Girl is clearly the better - and more enjoyable - song.

Of the Girl is a favorite of mine. of course, it has no chance.

This is a real tough one. Release is a classic that, in my mind, will neeeeeever get old, which doesn't happen much these days (I've voted against Porch and Alive in this tournament), but Of The Girl is on its own planet. But I can't vote against Release.

I really like them both. Of the Girl gets the tiebreaker since that was my first PJ song live.

Really though...

Girl should be longer. And needs vibraphone. It's got great mood (when Mikes not wanking live), but as it is it feels like it reaches for I Am Yours when it ahould be an acoustic Zeppelin meander

Release meant more to me before I lost my father, and before his final days were so brutally destructive. So I think I lost some connection because it aches for a bond, and I'm just lost. When a song hits a topic so specifically, I suppose your individual situation can screw with your bond. Either way, I do like the natural rise and fall (as opposed to the designed one of later songs).

No vote.

Of the girl is enjoyable, but one of the most overrated songs here in my opinion
Release is my favorite pearl jam song ever.
Not even close.

Ugh. Release still pulls emotions out of me like no other song in their catalogue can, but Of the Girl is, like, so. fucking. cool.

Sorry to hear it, man... I'm in a similar place with Release, but it actually helped me come to terms with the whole situation. Very powerful song, despite the cows...
