hail hail is another one I think is a little bit overrated, but it's still great. Glorified G shouldn't be in this round.

Hail Hail everyday of the week. GG is fun but hardly very good.

I'm ridiculously fond of Glorified G but Pearl Jam doesn't get better than Hail, Hail.

Pretty much this.

Love dat bridge in Hail Hail. Perfection.

THe only thing that holds Glorified G back is the subject matter. It's kind of dumb. Otherwise there's a lot to love there.

I wouldn't be sad to see Hail Hail keep winning.

I would've thought the subject was the only thing elevating Glorified G. Great sentiments.
Still Hail, Hail is top shelf.

I was one of the 6 morons who voted against Hail, Hail in the last round, and I stand by my vote, but this one is really no contest. HH

I'm going to listen to Hail, Hail right now.

Oh man, that was awesome. This song sounds so good. It feels faster than it really is, the groove sucks you in without you noticing it because the guitars are just cuttin' shit up while Jack Irons struggles desperately to keep things in line. The intro is a bit jarring, I think because it's really made to follow Sometimes, but once you're past the first measure or so, it's convinced you IT'S TIME TO ROCK. This is maybe my favorite vocals by Ed, I really like his nasally singing voice here, please don't make me explain, it just sounds cool. The bridge is a great escape from the relentless attack of the guitars, they fade into the back while Ed comes to the front and clearly realizes the bridge. Stone's slide back into the chrous is fuckin cool, like he's saying "here we go, take a deep breath, time to fuckin rock again." Ed ends the song with nasally non-words that again just sound great.

Eddie's nasal voice is the eddie I like the least. It's one of the things that really holds No Code back for me.

I feel like Eddie singing as opposed to screaming Hail Hail on record is one of the coolest things about that performance. It kind of suits the subject of the song.

I agree. But Eddie has songs where he doesn't scream that dont sound nasaly. And some of the soaring moments on the record (think the end of the rm chorus) are held back for me by the same nasal sound. It's my single biggest beef with no code. But it's a huge one

Are you sure you know what nasal singing sounds like ?
I don't hear it...

I think so...? If that refers to a very specific technical technique than maybe not. But eds voice sounds nasaly to me, and I know what the general adjective means

Lots of people love it. I'm not insulting it. I'm explaining why I don't like it

I know what you mean Stip. I don't hear it much beyond Sometimes/Hail,Hail though.

listen to the red mosquito chorus. it's pretty prominent there, as well.
