Brain of J. by a hair but they're both the top of the mountain for me as far as Pearl Jam rockers are concerned.

And that's not a statement against Brain of J

Battle of the album openers! When you put them side-by-side like this, it reminds you how often the band opens albums in similar ways (No Code and Riot Act being the exceptions). I'd like to see them mix it up more. Last Exit for me, for sure.

"Brain of J" because Jack Irons and also much superior bridge.

Both great songs, maybe their best album openers.

Pretty much this. Both are awesome though.

Last Exit, but this is essentially a draw. Two of the finest rockers this band has produced. Will be happy to see either advance.

Last Exit is top 10 material. Brain of J. is top 25-30 material. Both fantastic songs, but Last Exit it is.
