These guys are...awesome. I saw them last night in Toronto at a 200-person venue and...wow.

i'm not. both heather and snc are musically varied in their appreciation of bands, and generally have decent enough tastes for me, but tend to linger on the fringes - which is fine, actually. I don't have any qualms with that and they usually post samples of music that I'd never hear otherwise, which is cool (although heather likes a lot of very dour stuff to me)

- cloud nothings- i'd never heard anything by before so had no bias one way or another, i listened to that album on a whim last night and wasn't annoyed, disappointed, or hateful of it. neither was I blown away, but it was a solid album regardless.
I'm guessing the sound is too mainstream for either of these venerable RMers of note though.

post a decent song from these bands for me? (unless you mean Dinosaur Jr, which i already know, but i assume you mean a band called "dinosaur" which I don't already know but google says there is one so)

Name one dour thing I listen to. Or don't. But please do anyway.

i dunno, man. i don't go around making notes about your every post on here, i just mean that my impression of your preferences brought up the word dour in my head.
is heavy any better?

it's not like my opinion holds any relevance anyway, pal. i'm not terribly sophisticated when it comes to music. i don't even know what's so zzzz about Attack On Memory.

Oh I'm sure dour is an apt qualifier for some of the stuff I listen to, I was just wondering if you had any particular example in mind as I don't think I post about this kind of stuff much (but maybe I do). I'll admit that potential for fun times is not my primary concern when it comes to music.

And Attack on Memory is zzzz because listening to it felt boring, that's all, nothing sophisticated either as far as I'm concerned.

Yeah, Dinosaur Jr. I could see the appeal of Cloud Nothing if you were unfamiliar with certain strains of 80s punk and post punk. Its just for me they come off as pretty bland.

The Wipers changed my life.

i like dinosaur jr, husker du, i'm vaguely familiar with mission of burma, and have a fair (?) appreciation of '80s punk and post punk'.
this reminds me of a friend of mine who upon my mention that i thought the black keys were pretty good made sure to inform me their music was terribly derivative... :/
I don't deny that, but i like the music anyway?

at any rate, thanks for the music videos - makes me want to revisit husker du and look into the wipers if nothing else, which is always appreciated
