Saw Sigur Ros last night. They were great, but I wasn't really in the mood.

nice! wife and i are going to the KCMO show. i'm pumped, but worried matt is going to sound like shit. some of the live stuff i've heard his voice just doesn't sound as good as it used to.

Wife and I have also discussed how he can sound shitty sometimes. We think it's when he drinks too much. I don't know if it's about when, but place and setting, rather, or the mood they're going for. For instance, he sounds fantastic on that newer Live from The Beacon Theater but can sound like shit on older recordings as well as newer ones where he's kinda going for a more wild performance on stage.
I do like that this is going to be a much smaller, more intimate venue. It's where the Blues practice apparently.

I've seen a few lately, and missed out on a few that I bought tickets for.
I think the only one left is Heilung in October, and Ripplefest (Eagles of Death Metal, The Sword, Big Business and a bunch of stoner bands) in July.
