Thought I'd start a thread on this.
Watched the first episode and really loved it.
Super high production value. Hope it gets a few seasons.
Anyone watching?

Enjoyed the pilot....I need to re-watch. More going on with this than I think I initially caught on to...

Pilot was ok, the second episode (on Fios streaming now) was a bit disjointed. There wasn't a good transition between them, almost like they were shot months apart. I'll stick with it, the show certainly has promise, but it's a bit of a rough start.

The most recent episode was great. Creepy in all the right places, I loved the monster's character development and backstory, and the episode was free from the unnecessary gore and obscenities that plagued the first two.

Think I'm going to stockpile this and binge the whole season once it's done - the first two episodes are a bit higgledy-piggledy for me.

I find that even my favourite series(the wire, deadwood, west wing) all have shaky starts. First five or six episodes are all setting things up. The meat of it comes later.
I hope this turns out to be great. And not just cos it's made in Dublin.

Yeah, cable shows almost always take a while to start swinging, so I usually give them a full season to hook me. If they pull everything together in a satisfying way, this could turn out great, but at the moment it's just a few different stories that feel disconnected.

That's a fair criticism of the first two. Familiarity with the characters (Dorian Grey, Frankenstein, etc..) makes it a little difficult as well, since we bring our preconceptions of them into the story with us. At least I did. IMO, the third episode starts to weave ti together and deliver the "oh, this actually works" moments, so it's cool you aren't giving up on it after the uneven start.

Episode three's Frankenstein and Monster back story was pretty clunky and oddly paced. I do like the show though. I think this is a good example of what to expect from the Justice League movie as opposed to the Marvel approach. Just throw everything out there at once and get the universe rolling. The Marvel model would have had the end of episode two be the season finale. Both approaches have their merits but things are a little disjointed this way.

Started out a little uneven but got stronger as the season went on. Looking forward to Season 2!

The season as a whole was very uneven. I didn't buy Eva Green's possessed woman act at all.

BUT, the finale was really good, though a bit predictable.
