My vote is "Sad" with "In the Moonlight" as runner up. Binaural could have easily been the Pearl Jam White album if they had wanted to go that direction. Lots of great songs left off that one...

The earlier outtakes were great songs, but S/T needed the help more than those records.

The problem with the Binaural/Riot Act outtakes is that they wouldn't really fit on either of those albums. There would have to be another album between Riot Act and Avocado (which would be great, actually. It would make the transition a lot less jarring)

the binaural outtakes fit totally fine on those albums. And otherside would work. I agree down and undone alter the overall feel of Riot Act.

Sad has no place on Binaural.

I guess it's more that I like those albums fine the way they are and between the Binarual outtakes, the Riot Act B-Sides and CC and Let it Ride you could make a damn good album (one that, in my opinion, would be a lot better than Avocado)

Yeah, and it's not like we had to wait a long time for the Binaural songs; they weren't languishing in the dustbin for decades. At most it was three years until the release of Lost Dogs, correct? So I have great albums and I have these great little sidesteps as well. The frustration with the S/T outtakes (and why I think it was much more important that they made the cut) is that the album is troubled and could have used more heavy hitters.

It's filler wrapped around a nice jam
