When was the last time anyone saw Sean Connery?

I sometimes wonder what happened to this guy. One minute he is starring in high-octane thrill rides with Nicholas Cage and the next minute *poof* he is gone. Vanished into thin air. What happened? I hope he is ok.

I believe his experience on League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen was so bad he quit acting. That and he's old and would rather be golfing.

Gene Hackman too. He quit and became a writer I guess.
