Here's a thread for stip to post in.

But yeah, I'm digging the Blurred Lines parody that came out today.

I had friends (and a brother) who memorized lyrics to all of Weird Al's albums, which I never understood the appeal of. To me, his albums are like a good stand-up comedy set: I like forgetting about them and listening to them a few years later so the jokes seem fresh. I loved both of the new videos. Al is also consistently solid on At Midnight, and he's going to be on again on 7/22 (with Reggie Watts and Tom Lennon...so it should be a helluva episode).

Weird Al is a national damn treasure. I guess I'll post the Tacky video in here as well. He's doing 8 videos in 8 days. It's wondrous.

Not sure which I listened to more in my childhood: Michael Jackson's Thriller or Weird Al's Eat It.

His rap parodies are kinda brilliant.

Al's doing pretty good for how old he is. I was still shitting in my diapers when I first saw him on MTV.

I don't know if he still does, but I saw him a few times in the mid-90s. One of the threads (I think the Secret Mixtape one) has a bunch of posts from people who have seen him live.

Yeah, I've seen him twice and I highly recommend it - loads of fun and his band is great.

He tours pretty regularly (see his recent tour dates here), I'm sure he'll be back around pretty soon.

Yeah, I saw him in Orlando in 2012, and it was a fantastic show - worlds away from a Pearl Jam show. Slick, impeccably rehearsed/played, costume changes, etc. It was a lot of a fun.

Music is indeed a form of both art, and entertainment.

He's just a funny polka goof. I've never owned any of his albums or seen him live, but I find him very endearing.
