corn meal with cheese cakes 
1 cup cornmeal
4 cups water
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup grated cheese
fat for frying
boil about 4 cups of water
put corn meal in 1/2 cup of cold water and stir until thick and let it cool
put salt in the boiling water
add the grated cheese to the corn meal
shape into cookie shape
fry and drain
easy and delicious

I'm quickly finding that you can't play around with portions and basic ingredients while baking the way that you can when you cook on the stove.
