Pearl Jam has one the largest presences at the RRHoF of any non-elected-member not named Beyonce and a larger presence than many elected members.
There were videos that included PJ at the Seattle / Grunge display, a portion of a festival performance of Betterman (2006-2008) at the festival exhibit and Eddie with The Doors.
Rolling Stone cover in large RS cover and article collage.
1994 Tour Itinerary. This is a neat piece that I would love to see.

Is next year their eligible year, or 2016?

Next year, but the RRHoF is inconsistent in it's counting.

I thought it was 25 years from debut, which would put it at 2016. You did, however, mention that their counting is inconsistent, so maybe that's it.

The band formed in 1990. Debut album in 1991. Name change in 1991 (if that plays any role). It's pretty safe to say that they'll get in first try, but when is that and which drummer(s) get in too.

If Dave A. isn't there, I might have to quit my PJ fanhood. I hope it doesn't come to that.
Outside of Dave A. (potentially), I could see the band wanting to include all former drummers... No?

Think of it this way, all members of Pearl Jam will attend the ceremony if which drummer(s) are inducted? Some members (Eddie) of Pearl Jam would skip the ceremony if which drummer is inducted?
It's a real no brainer from a RRHoF business perspective. You won't anger your golden goose for the evening.

I hope whoever inducts them into the hall of fame shows up with a Mohawk and threatens to not shave it until PJ stops dropping bombs on their own creative talent

I thought eligibility starts 25 years after the first album release. I'm not so sure they're a lock for the first time ballot. They probably will, just not a complete shock if they don't.

Cameron Crowe or Steve Gleason is my guess. I can't see Neil Young doing it. I'm sure BoB wants to do it.
