In light of today's story about a Catholic priest who raped like 20 kids and a sled dog, I have a proposal.
Any time you see a story on social media about a corrupt pervert with ties to the church (pick a church, any church) simply post this in the comments section:

Watch the blind defenders of the church go crazy.
This would also apply to another recent story here in Seattle where a somewhat famous pastor just got in some pretty hot water for referring to women as "penis homes."

Why limit it to church? You can likely get butthurt reactions from dissonant people blindly supporting any institution that's heavily worshipped yet has done wrong.

I'd use church to describe mosque, temple, synogauge (sp?), etc.
Equal opportunity, encapsulated by same word.
Though you never really hear much about rabbi's raping dozens of children and animals. (For the record I am not Jewish)

In my attempt yesterday, #church resulted in:
"The operative word is defrocked. As in Excommunicated."
In other words this person was trying to justify that it "doesn't count" against the church since this guy is no longer recognized as a member. As if he wasn't a member when it actually happened
