Fall Tour 2014 Hopes

So...I haven't seen PJ since the London/Wrigley combo in 2013. I am going to Moline, St. Paul, Milwaukee, and both Bridge performances, though Soundgarden is the main draw for the latter. Anyway, for anyone else going to shows, it's about time to get excited. What are you hopeful for?
I hope my son, who is halfway between birthday 7 and 8 remembers the St. Paul show. He's ridiculously excited. Mind Your Manners is his favorite song. I know most of it will fade, but I hope for some moment to get stuck in his mind.

I still remember my first concert.
I expect these shows to be similar in structure to the 2013 and 2014 shows which is A-OK to me.

I'm not going to any shows, so for how I'm going to experience these (bootlegs), I'm hoping that they mix up the second encores more. I've thoroughly enjoyed listening to the main sets and first encores of the 2013/2014 shows, but I basically shut them all off when the 2nd encore starts.

Im really just hoping Ed puts forth a solid performance.
Bar has been set low for me. I haven't seen them since MIssoula 12 and that was a huge letdown. Some hits and many misses listening to the bootlegs since. Strange its come to this.
Just want Ed to not totally fuck up the lyrics. I've been loving the setlists (other than the predictable 2nd encore) so I kind of hope it stays that way.
Ultimately I want to hear as much Binaural as possible. Would love Of the Girl to open one of the nights (Lincoln/Denver)

Between 2011/2012 I did six shows and wasn't really into five of them. I thought I'd only do one or two shows per tour after that as Toronto 1 was the only one I was really into. Last year however I ended up at six shows and liked them all.
Ed - show some subtlety for god sakes. Don't sing the first course on Present Tense high, don't swear in every song.
After this year I'll be at 45 shows (three this fall). I'm done chasing songs, I just want to see a good performance from the band. I'm happy this year I am seeing shows towards the end of the tour (Detroit, St Paul and Milwaukee). It seems based on last year and Europe this summer that the shows are a little better, deeper into the tour (maybe they should try rehearsing more than two days before shows).

Haha after reading your post I was on the PJ board and saw someone posted they heard the band is headed back to South America April 2015. I miss the days when PJ would disappear between albums and tours rather than touring the same record for three or four years. It seems however the band is in 20-30 shows every year mode now, whether there is new music or not.

I'd be fine with them touring all touring all the time of the records and shows were amazing

Hoping they bust out Sweet Leaf in Denver. It could happen.
It's been since 2008 for me so I am going to be happy with whatever they put out there.

This current SA rumor doesn't seem very credible. It's nearly identical to the 2011 tour.

He sensed worry could be strength, with a plan he said

I hope that they close a set with RVM, Porch, or Betterman. That way I know exactly what to expect.
Oh wait... nevermind.

Going through twofeetthick and checking out the setlists from this summer...I can't believe how great they are. I would take anyone of those. Hope Ed keeps that going.

Will be in St. Louis and Moline. Have seen about 20 or so shows and only the last one was disappointing (Wrigley). Here's to hoping St. Louis erases that memory.

They supposedly rehearsed for 3 hours yesterday. I'm not sure if that was more or less than usual.

My 3 show run begins tonight. How about a first encore that begins All or None, Fatal, and Strangest Tribe.
