I'm a Coen brothers fan, but I don't understand why The Big Lebowski is so revered and quoted. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I didn't like it one bit.

10. No comic relief.
9. No love interest.
8. No cumbersome 3 hour long bullshit to make it "more epic". Just a simple story about 80s badass dudes fighting a badass alien. Just like Grandma used to make.
7. Ahnold at the height of his powers.
6. Another classic Stan Winston creature. Even the effects, spare as they are, still hold up.
5. Jesse Ventura.
4. Very little backstory to the villain (so SO VERY IMPORTANT)
3. Just look at all those muscles!
