I love Good Will Hunting. It's one of my favorite movies. But on the 27th viewing, I noticed something that still bothers me.

When Will is showing Clark (guy with Michael Bolton hair) how he's wicked smaht, Clark retorts, "But at least I'll have a degree." Now, Will just demonstrated that he is far more knowledgeable on history than this gentleman. Why wouldn't he assume that Will was a grad/doctoral student?

Obviously he could spot that Chuckie was bullshitting to pick up a girl. But what's more likely, a local college student hangs out with his boys who aren't that smart, or some wicked smart kid never went to college and will be serving french fries to Clark's kids.

My friend has one from Groundhog Day. When Bill Murray is killing it on the piano at that event, the piano teacher basically takes credit for his skills. Even though, on that day he showed up at her house for lessons and could pretty much play perfectly.

In Star Wars, when they are in the trash compactor. If they know those walls are strong enough to crush them to death, why don't they know that those flimsy pieces of trash they are trying to stop it with won't work?

Last time, somebody blew up our space station by shooting a missile into a small exhaust port. This time we've built a new space station with a hole big that leads right to our main reactor that's big enough to fit a reasonably large spaceship.
