I started reading this today ahead of the theatrical release, which I almost certainly won't go to. Just thought I'd keep RM apprised.

I'll see it. But probably not in the theater. Actually, definitely not in the theater.

Enjoyed the book a lot, an amazing life story. Don't think this movie will do it justice at all. Gonna pass on seeing in the theater.

I liked it. Seemed a little long in parts but made you realize just what this guy went through.

It was a fine book. Tv documentaries have ruined me, though. It's the preferred medium for any topic with living subjects or witnesses.

My mom's review: "It really was, it was, I mean, we really like historical -- if it's a movie based on real things -- and it was, they really showed you in the movie, about this guy, he really was unbroken, ya know? It was really, really good."

while my family gathered in my grandparents' living room for a post-christmas powwow, my cousin, who is not the smartest guy in the world nor possessive of especially good taste in art, said he wanted to see this movie. i told him i didn't know what it was about, then he described the detainment and torture this character experienced, and said it's directed by angelina jolie. i said, perhaps unwisely, "seeing a movie directed by angelina jolie sounds like the definition of torture." some people laughed while others grew quiet. it was later revealed by more sensitive members of the family that i was thought to be bullying my low-IQ cousin.

to sum it up, it turns out life resembles RM, just as RM resembles life.

i've never taken an IQ test, but i'm guessing it pushes the upper limits of human capacity

Rank the following people by what you believe to be their IQ:

George W Bush
PeeWee Herman
Hulk Hogan
Albert Einstein
Kaius
The guy I work with who uses the public restroom instead of the employee ones because he is afraid the women we work with will think it is him who is leaving the toilet seat up.
George HW Bush
lenny
Jim Belushi

Interesting. Now rank the same group by who would have the most interesting tales to tell.

Also, I think you have Kaius too high and the Hulkster too low.
