Wow this thread really took off.

I must have completely missed the boat on this... but wouldn't 2016 be the year PJ becomes eligible? 25 years after the first release?

I went as a guest of Elvis. In 1964 it was held at the The Roaring Inflatable Stork. Which was a club on the right side of the tracks in Munich. That year if I remember right Ringo Inducted the Mighty Mighty Boss Tones. I hope Mark Arm takes me as his personal bodyguard to Pearl Jam's induction. He will need one. Word on the street is the ghost of Tupac is going, and with the whole east coast west coast thing, well you can see were I am headed. I know Krav Maga.

They literally just announced who was up for election the other day, and Pearl Jam was NOT one of them?
So apparently they arnt eligible?

The Pumpkins were not up for election either so.

I've just done some light research on the HOF induction ceremony. Looks like limited tix are available to the public but the majority of the crowd is invite only. Basically it's a big banquet hall with upper deck public seating.

Question: Is the ceremony stage/venue the same as the performance stage/venue?

I read the 2015 ceremony recap and it sounds like every performance is a big medley with a bunch of different artists up there performing cover songs. I have never watched it on TV. Am I on the right track here?

Should be everything PJ cares about: nostalgia about Pearl Jam and excuses to create new merch.

Radiohead is definitely getting in. Something tells me Rage, LL Cool J, The Moody Blues, and Nina Simone will be the others.

Link Wray should get in.

I was kind of surprised that Rage is. I understand what they did for the rock/rap mutations but that also brought us a lot of shit. And Rage was only around for a handful of years.

I went to the ceremony in Brooklyn last year. It was fun but way too long.

So did Pearl Jam. So did a bunch of bands. Once you achieve a certain level of influence, you're going to influence a lot of bad sucky shit.
