Probably one of my favorite genres of film. In no particular order, here are some of my favorites. (I don't include the "aliens have destroyed the earth" movies in this genre)

The Colony

There are many more, but just to get the conversation started.

Also, at the recommendation of LV, I watched "The Divide" last night.

Does Children of Men count? I really like that movie. 12 Monkeys as well.

Another shout out for The Road.

One that I struggle with is Book of Eli. While I didn't like most of the acting except for Oldman, I absolutely loved the visuals and the score.

Also, I didn't mind Automata, even if LV hated that one.

Where's T2? It's the best of the series.

Escape from New York is a fun cheeseball one.

Yeah that is good too. The only one I don't really like is T3 and probably the new Terminator coming out.

There are lots of interesting movies in this genre that I don't think are completely successful, so they don't make the list. A lot of movies in this genre (especially lately) tend to be very cynical, which I'm not into.

Yes, I have. I'm not sure what to think of it. I liked it but it was certainly different.

I just noticed you also included Dystopian movies. I was just thinking Post-Apoc. So here are my favorite Dystopian (and there's some Post-Apoc overlap here) movies.
