It's not. Is that on the master song list we put together last year? Have we decided it's an official pearl jam song? I probably should have included it.EJ wrote:stip wrote:I don't like soon forget, but I find red dot offensively awfulhow do you feel about Small Mosquito? (also, is that in this tourney?)
Vote for Red Dot. I dig it. I don't think I've ever skipped it when listening to Yield.
I don't believe so. And, I think the jury's still out on it being Red Dot's demo. Though there's enough resemblance, that it probably was.stip wrote:It's not. Agreed, but I can't seem to separate Soon Forget from the way it leads into Parting Ways, and I love the transition. Therefore it gets my vote? Probably not if it was up against something else.durdencommatyler wrote:Soon Forget is also a good length, but has aged very poorly.
I get that. But if transitions are a factor for you, I'm not sure it gets much better than Evolution into Red Dot into MFC. Red Dot is the perfect bridge AND act break. Plus it has so many colors, so many simple brush strokes from many of the other album tracks within. It's a song that could only appear on Yield. It is of that record.delanoche wrote:Agreed, but I can't seem to separate Soon Forget from the way it leads into Parting Ways, and I love the transition. Therefore it gets my vote? I find myself agreeing with Stippers more often than RM will allow.stip wrote:Guys, let's not lose sight of the fact that red dot is awful and pointless
I love you, Stip. You know I do. And I'll allow you "awful" because taste is taste. But it's so far from pointless that I can't even...stip wrote:Guys, let's not lose sight of the fact that red dot is awful and pointless
