not a particular fan of either song, but Help Help is great live and has some strong musical moments. LBC became a better song with Unthought Known, and they finally got it right with Lightning Bolt.

LBC is miles better than uk and still a lot better than lb.
Tough match, I like both songs a lot, LBC i guess.

In fact, I was leaning towards voting for "Help Help" but that comment annoyed me so I'm switching to "Love Boat Captain" which, stupid title aside, has always struck me as one of Ed's most beautiful compositions.
Just because songs feature palm-mute guitar doesn't make them drafts of each other. LBC and LB are completely different tonally.

Well that's maybe the most obvious musical similarity but I think all these songs are trying to create a gradual build (that gets faster with each subsequent iteration of the song) into an anthematic celebratory chorus in a participatory way. None of them are clones of each other, but I think they're all trying to elicit the same reaction.

Both good songs but I'm going for LBC this time around.

Help Help is glorious. One of my favorite songs on Riot Act.
I like LBC a lot, too. But someone's gotta lose. I'm going with Help Help.

After I lost some weight it was way too big and now they don't sell it anymore.

Love Boat Captain blows. Help, Help is one of the best things this band has done.
