That's a pretty weak list for Best Animated Feature. Brave was bad by Pixar standards. Pirates is probably the worst Aardmann feature yet. Was it really that bad of a year for animation?

The Hobbit should be considered animation.

Lincoln getting way too much love there anyway, but the soundtrack in particular was John Williams shrugging his shoulders and saying "I can't really be bothered....here, let me just copy-paste a few things..."

Also, the computer animation on the Hobbit villain was of video game quality.

If Wreck It Ralph doesn't win and Skyfall doesn't get best cinematography, I'm going to drive my car into a house.

1/3 of this is a serious post, btw.

Just happy to see Beasts of the Southern Wild getting a good amount of love. I was afraid it would get snubbed.

Faith restored!

I knew The Master wouldn't get a best picture nod, and that's fine, but to neglect the cinematography and Jonny Greenwood's score is unforgiveable.

And no directing nod for K. Bigelow and Zero Dark Thirty. That's a big, big surprise. You usually need that in order to win Best Picture.

None of it will matter when Lincoln wins.

I hope my irrational logic doesn't win out:

Americans don't care about the Oscars, but love Abraham Lincoln

Oscars shower Lincoln with love.

Americans more sympathetic to Oscars.

I haven't seen Lincoln, but I really hope it doesn't win. Personally, I'm pulling for Beats.
