I'll have to think on this one. Both are pretty great tunes.

I am Mine, but this was easily the hardest match in the tournament so far, and there's no shame losing to Grievance.

Voted for I Am Mine, wont be disappointed if Grievance wins. Tough matchup.

Proud to be one of the five (so far) to have voted for I Am Mine.

Ok, so I may have overstated the gap between these songs. I love both, and they are difficult to compare as they are so tonally opposed, but I think Grievance is a head above I Am Mine structurally.

One key disparity is in the drumming. Matt's work on Grievance is some of his best, from the opening groove to his intense fills. His work on IAM is fairly bland. The guitars are used so uniquely to each song that it is hard to find a reason other than I just really love the hypersonic, grinding space guitar interplay that is found throughout Binaural. IAM's somber undulation is beautiful, but i am moodier about when I like it. I would never skip Grievance. It has a wonderful sense of urgency, but instead of sounding desperate it has conviction. Baritone Ed is a favorite of mine, but he sometimes lacks persuasion. When you hear mid-era songs like Rival, Grievance, and Insignificance, you remember that there was a time when Disgruntled Ed was really something to behold, and he was spitting truth bombs.

2000 tour versions of Grievance are some of the best arguments as to why middle-era PJ is one of the best bands ever.

I've never liked Grievance. It has never grown on me. :|

Grievance for Matt's drumming. But a close one.

I think the live versions are much better but it's still kind of a misfire for me too.

I wouldn't have expected this but I think I'm going to throw my vote towards I Am Mine.

Went with I Am Mine. It is not a vote against Grievance though. I have always been fond of the drunken sailor verse melody. One day I need to get drunk on rum and start singing it with a group of hooligans.

I like the woozy sway of the melody, too, and think Mike's ending solo is melodic and tasteful. But comparatively, "Grievance"'s flailing, mathematical fury makes for a much more compelling listen. I like "I Am Mine," but pitting it against a song like "Grievance" just makes its new age-y, Eddie-as-Cat-Stevens tendencies seem overbearing,
